The much anticipated first Australian Run of Cave Diver is just around the corner. The Lightly raced filly by Ulysses showed loads of talent in the UK under the care of Clive Cox – and was purchased by Australian Bloodstock and shipped to Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace. Luke Murrell explains’ she rated very well in some of her races in the UK and we purchased her for what we think was a very fair price- there was no grand plans for her but simple to head to those rich city races and im sure she has the talent to win to win her purchase price back in hopefully many multiples . However as do a number of UK horses she took time to acclimatise and we decided to give her a break. During that break she took fright in a thunder storm and hurt herself . Whilst it was only superficial it meant many stitches and giving her extra time to recuperate. However that extra time might have been a blessing in disguise as she has returned to training and David was very very pleased with her work recently . She he is 100% sound and we are hoping to see her go through her grades and then aim for some Group races as that black type can make a world of difference to her residual value- I said at the time she might be one of the cheapest horses we have brought and im hoping that is proven correct in the coming months

Cave Diver was purchased privately from the UK and has arrived in Australia. She is currently in work with Ciaron Maher.
