With so much money on offer and having had a great success in winning these good races, we have purchased RETRIEVAL for next year’s Country Championships and we think we stole him based on his ability.

Retrieval is only a 3yr old gelding by Medaglio Doro with not much racing.

When buying and targeting these bigger races history shows us what ratings a horse needs to run to be able to not only compete but also win. RETRIEVAL on his current form is a horse that I believe if he had raced in the qualifier this year would have gone almighty close.

Whilst the $500,000 Country Championship is now 11 months away we will be racing in a lot of other races in between now and then.

Our first target is the $100,000 Highway races run every Saturday in town. To qualify he needs to have 3 runs in Cody’s name so the plan will be to look after him in these runs and then head to town where I’m sure he can win multiple races.

Post this, if he happened to improve he’s a very similar horse to ANEHTOLE who has run in a $1m Kosciuszko and who recently won the $150,000 Country Championships Qualfiier.

As you can see if the horse only holds his form he will be a very good winning chance to win multiple city races which would do the job we need which is to win our purchase price back quickly.
