Impactful has one of the best pedigree’s you will ever see, from the family of Sunday Silence and Encosta de Lago he is truly regally bred.

After a 14 start career with Chris Waller he has become the latest acquisition for Australian Bloodstock in their ever increasing stable.

Co-Director for Australian Bloodstock Luke Murrell spends many hours finding “hidden gems” to join their team and their success with tried horses speaks for itself.

A tried horse is perfect for a first time horse owner and many of our clients are new to horse racing. With a tried horse they are at the races soon and generally get a result in the first few races given the strike rate we have with these purchases.” – Luke Murrell

The Cody Morgan stable has grown significantly in the past 2 years with his success giving larger stables the confidence to send the young trainer quality horses.

Cody has trained winners at Eagle Farm, Rosehill and last year’s winner of his hometown Tamworth Cup.

The newest addition to his stable Impactful will be targeted at the lucrative metro highway races in Sydney which have been given a prize-money boost to $100,000.

“When we isolate his runs below 1600m, sectionally he is at least a Saturday horse. He can sprint hard and quickly, but when they have stretched him over ground his sectionals go for 400m and then fall off a cliff, which is a sure sign he doesn’t stay.

Cody Morgan has had a lot of luck getting these non-stayers and reinvigorating them, and given this horse has only 1 win, he has a stack of classes and grades open to him, and I think we can take advantage of that. I really think he is a no risk option.” – Luke Murrell

The blueblood Impactful will have a change of scenery and ownership and will now be trained as a sprinter in his new life with Australian Bloodstock. Do they have another Ligulate on their hands? Time will tell.
