Australian Bloodstock is thrilled to welcome James Donovan (pitcured) and his racing syndicate. In a major coup for Australian Bloodstock, Donovan and his partners have agreed to invest in several quality yearlings to be selected by Australian Bloodstock and trained by leading trainers Kris Lees and Gerald Ryan.

The Donovan Racing Syndicate has enjoyed considerable success racing Group 1 winners in both the northern and southern hemispheres. With our impressive strike rate, combined with the clout of the Donovan camp, Australian Bloodstock is set to be a major player in the 2012 Yearling Sales.

A 2yr old SNITZEL gelding trained by Gerald Ryan, trialling at Rosehill next week, will be the first runner for the partnership.

Donovan, who rose to prominence in the property development and construction industry, who up until now had only invested in European horses, has decided that the he will concentrate his thoroughbred interests soley in Australia, sighting the demise of racing in the UK as a motivating factor.
