As our Melbourne Cup hopeful Lucas Cranach continues to please trainer Anthony Freedman, Germany’s best form was franked overnight with the running of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in France.

Dandream, a German trained 3yo filly, produced a devastating turn of foot to win the Arc by close to five lengths, leaving Australian star So You Think and a number of other Group 1 winners in her wake.

Two runs prior to her Arc demolition job, Danedream defeated Lucas Cranach by 5 1/2 lengths in the Group 1 Grosser Preis Von Berlin in Germany when in reciept of 9 kilo’s and a decent head start from our champ.

This shows the strength of the better German form this season in Europe and both Danedream and Lucas Cranach are two of the most exciting talents out of that nation in many years.

Hopefully that form holds up in Australia!
