Cardinal returned on Saturday and whilst being a stand out in the yard unfortunately he was given no chance by the ride. Ridden aggressive and forward ( completely opposite to his normal pattern) he showed that he simple doesn’t finish off his races and whilst he was heavily supported to be the market mover it was bitterly disappointing to see a senior jockey ride him without judgement. Not surprisingly the horse that was backed to win $100,000 was suited by the suicide rides up front saluted. Interestingly the Jockey was called before Stewards on the ride by no action was taken.
Cardinal has pulled up well and will be targeting a race in 2 weeks time
