Cardinal Virtue produced a terrific run on Saturday but unfortunately was the victim on a terrible ride. In just a six horse field unbelievably Cardinal Virtue was unable to get a run for most of the straight. When a gap finally came Cardinal Virtue produced a terrific turn of foot but had to be content with 3rd place going down by half a length.
