An unraced and unnamed two year old with leading trainer Cody Morgan has set tongues wagging after some impressive work gallops.

Cody Morgan reports “He was a horse I bought on spec at the Inglis Sales and he was my pick of the entire sale.

My Brother Luke (one of NSW leading breakers) broke him in and really liked him, which pricked my ears as he doesn’t say much, but we gave him a squirt just to see what he had and I had to check the stopwatch to make sure it was right.

I immediately put him away and we are hoping we will qualify him for the $2m Inglis Millenium. The plan is he would go into that second up if he continues to please me and go the right way.

With these two year olds, so much has to go right, but on what he has shown so far he certainly has some talent and whilst it would be awesome to have him in the race, the horse comes first and we just need some luck over the coming weeks.

Australian Bloodstock ended up buying him off me and given the year they just had, I don’t think it would surprise anyone if they won this race, and I’m hoping it’s with my bloke. – Cody Morgan
