TRACK RECORD HOLDER WINS AT WARWICK FARM

The Kris Lees trained AWARD SEASON has racked up his second win in a row with an impressive display at Warwick Farm on Saturday (5th Jan) in the Hyland Race Colours Hcp over 2400m. The son of Dansili who was an overseas purchase by Australian Bloodstock’s Jamie Lovett and Luke Murrell has now taken his winnings well passed $100,000 and it appears many more wins are likely including a tilt at some of the better black type staying races.
This victory came after his breakthrough Australian win at Muswellbrook on December 18th where Award Season broke a long-standing track record when winning impressively over 1750m. The time on that day was 1:45.29 beating the record set by Wyngrove of 1:45.33 when he won the 2001 Muswellbrook Cup.
