Our Caulfield Cup dream lives on after Racing Victoria vets passed Lucas Cranach to run in Saturday’s $2.6 million Caulfield Cup.
The horse had suffered a minor hoof abscess earlier in the week but luckily the Freedman stable’s vet staff were right on the job and managed to treat it quickly so that the horse did not miss any work or excercise.
“We weren’t as worried as some people out there, he’s fit and well and ready to run in tomorrow’s race,” said trainer Anthony Freedman.
A big thankyou from Australian Bloodstock and all of the owners to Anthony and Lee Freedman, and Lucas’ fantastic staff Jo, Victor and Will for all the care and help they have been over the last week.
We look forward to our first Caulfield Cup runner and with a bit of luck our German wonder-horse might be able to pinch the Cup for us this weekend.
