On another impossible day, I’ve decided to preview the Main race of the day the 7 stakes worth a lazy $1,000,000

7m rail from the 1000m to the WP- no rain predicted or wind which is essential at this track- I’m expecting a very very firm drying track – I think they will run fast times and be very tough to run down- historically wide good tracks have been up and in

Comes out of the Chelmsford and that race looks “smelly” he got an average ride in that race. The last rock hard track he won on was the Rosehill Cup- and that was a terrible race- im against him again here today with the very firm and out of that rubbish lead up- he does get map favours so cant dismiss him completely but since his injury his form is just with no real substance

He only got the one trial under his belt before his first up run- on speed type runner helps- firm deck works well for him and I have his best runs in his career as being 1600m- in saying that he is not the horse he used to be and he comes out of the nothing race – the Winx Stakes which I think can be suspect given how slow they went

This horse to my eye profiles like a bleeder – his career-best runs are fresh- he was superb first up ( without collecting) – his UK form on very firm was first-rate also but his 3 efforts in Aus on very firm have left a lot to be desired- he is a very good horse but I just hate the 14 day turn around for him- but gee, at that price he is worth a spec

Last, but have a query a chance they are most positive today
We mentioned he would run well in the Chelmsford and he certainly did that but that horse was slowly run and its hardly a great platform- I think 2nd up he will be looking for more ground

His firm track record is superb- 2 ins and a close 4th btn 1 len – albeit he has no 1600m form at all ( never raced this trip surprisingly)- he will have to do some work to cross Zaaki but I think he can get there ok and if he gets a softish first 400m he can be in the finish

1 first second and third on firm ground and whilst she is never far away her 1600m record is 1 win – 3 placings ( group 1)- from 9 starts- hardly the type of form you want to launch into especially as she will be back last- maybe she is superior but you need to have more respect for money if you back her at these prices- another one who profiles like a bleeder as her best runs are with big gaps – she gets that here but still….

She was good in the slow run Tramway and back to very firm ground id be suggesting she will find the draw and class too rich
As you can see the main “feeder races and lead-up races have been run in pedestrian tempo races and that makes the form suspect and lowers my confidence
I am going to take a risk and back that Zac Lloyd gets Perciles across and have 3 units on him at the $8 and 2 units on Zaaki
