Villiers again shown himself to be a potential stayer in the making. Stepping up from 1350m to 1600m 2nd up he again showed that he lacks that turn of foot required at the shorter trips, however impressed with his grinding performance at the end of the mile. Jockey Bowman was strung up amongst tiring horses at the top of the straight and certainly appeared a touch unlucky. Bowman reported that we will see the best of him at 10 furlongs and was pleased with the run under the circumstances.Trainer Kris Lees will now look for a suitable race in the coming weeks.
