Highly promising 3yr old Trebbiano trounced a good quality field of 3yr old stayers last weekend at ROYAL RANDWICK .After a superb ride by Kathy O’Hara. Trebbiano atoned for his unlucky 2nd at ROSEHILL the start before . Arguably he could have been unbeaten if not for bad luck his prior 3 runs. Trebbiano was clearly the run of the race against Bart Cummings 3yr old Landlord the previous start and he franked the form by next start running 3rd in the G2 Grand Prix Stakes over the Qld Carnival. His Trainer Gerald Ryan reports that the horse will now go for a well earned spell given he is still very immature, and mentally not there yet. Next preparation Gerald Ryan has indicated that TREBBIANO will be given his opportunity to take the next in the staying events over the carnival.
